RUT500 Technical Data

The Teltonika RUT500 is the big brother of the popular RUT104 HSPA+ router which is widely used as an M2M 3G Router.

The RUT500 provides 3 x 10/100 Ethernet ports compared to a single Ethernet port on the RUT104 and the Teltonika RUT500 provides N Wirless WiFi connectivity compared to 802.11 b/g offered on the RUT104.  The Teltonika RUT500 router also includes an Ethernet WAN port to enable the router to be used as a failover 3G router.

What Is The Difference Between The Teltonika RUT104 and Teltonika RUT500 3G Routers?

Antennas
The RUT500 is supplied with 2 x Elbow Joint Antennas (2 x GSM, 1 x WiFi) and 1 x Magnetic Mount 3G Antenna – all detachable with SMA Connectors so can connect external antennas.
The RUT104 is supplied with 2 x Magnetic mount antennas (Main and Aux) with 2m cable and 2 x elbow joint antennas for WiFi

Ethernet Ports
The RUT500 is supplied with 3 x 10/100 Ethernet ports for wired LAN connection and 1 x 10/100 Ethernet WAN Port so the router can be used in failover mode
The RUT104 is supplied with 1 x 10/100 Ethernet port for wired LAN connectivity

WiFi
The RUT500 provides N wireless WiFi connectivity as well as being backwards compatible with 802.11 b/g WiFi
The RUT104 provide 802.11 b/g WiFi connectivity

SIM Card
The RUT500 SIM card is hidden behind the back panel of the router making it more secure in remote locations.  This means that a screwdriver is required to insert the SIM card.
